Colin joined Stoodley and Son in January 2017. Colin is dedicated to bringing a personal, unique and bespoke service to bereaved families. Colin started working within the funeral industry in 2003 coming from a background in retail and customer service. Colin joined The Co-op Funeralcare which incorporated G H Cook and Son caring for families in the Yeovil area for over 13 years.
Colin has gained a wealth of funeral experience and knowledge. In his role as Principal Funeral Director he was awarded a BTEC Professional Diploma to Level 4.
Colin is passionate about funerals being a celebration of life and considers it a privilege to help families in their bereavement journey.

From our first meeting we will offer a warm smile and friendly face to put you at ease. We will have a chat over a cup of tea and discuss any funeral arrangements in an open, honest and sensitive way. We want to get to know you and your family and learn all about your loved.
Our funeral arrangements are about getting to know you and you getting to know us. We offer both male and female Funeral Directors, so if you would prefer your loved one to be dressed and cared for by either a male or a female, this would be possible – you only need to ask.
We aim to provide you with a compassionate and comprehensive service. Your first point of contact will be the person you deal with throughout the process. We are available 24 hours a day to provide practical and sympathetic advice. Whether the death has occurred at home or in a hospital, we will guide you throughout the process.
When it comes to handling a bereavement, we understand that many people may not know what to expect whilst going through the funeral arrangements process. Our aim is to ensure we provide support, guidance and a compassionate service to make the process that little bit easier.

Each funeral is as unique as the life it celebrates and at Stoodley & Son we listen, empathise and offer a compassionate response which reflects the thoughts, feelings and needs that have been expressed to us.
At Stoodley and Son we recognise that grief can be overwhelming and the need to provide your loved one with the ‘send-off’ they deserve is foremost in your mind, however this can make you vulnerable to accepting services or items that you feel pressurised into purchasing. We will go through all arrangements with you either in the comfort of your own home or at our funeral home in Crewkerne or South Petherton. We are transparent with all our costs and we will give you a clear written estimate for the services that suit your needs.
We will not pressurise you into purchasing expensive items/services that you do not need; we will advise you of costs at every stage and you will be given as much time as needed to make sure your choices are right for you. We will always advise you to obtain detailed costs from other providers so you can be assured that our costs and service are incomparable. We make sure that every single client receives a caring service from our experienced and compassionate team.
